Jon
I can only reach a ninth on both hands. I'm only 14!!
Max Castillo
A 12th but with hitting unwanted nearby notes, does that count? If not, an 11th easily.
Guest thatguy
I'm 6'3"....I have some reach but...usually music written for wide stretches is too hard for me...
Mitchell
I can get a 9th with ease, and an 11th if I stretch.
RadonUlzer
I have small hands - an octave is all I can do easily, I can get a ninth without a huge effort, and a tenth if I have ten seconds to rearrange my hands...Strangely, not many composers write ten second rests. sterilium
A 9th is as far as I can go on the piano, and that's pretty much a stretch for me (I have small hands). Octaves are the most reasonable stretch I can go without compromising my performance. If I have to go farther than 9ths. I have to break the notes apart, kinda like detached octaves. At least Jon's hands will get bigger in time. I'm an adult so my hand span is pretty much fixed.

Dan Gilbert
Can I nominate this thread for the "most boring thread ever" award? (By the way, 10th comfortably, 11th uncomfortably. Like....everyone else.)

goodridge_winners
lets talk about cheese, and our experiences of eating it whilst it was 'off'.

Pieter Smal
10th... (thus from C to E') working on 11th stretch though.
Engineered Composer
lets talk about cheese, and our experiences of eating it whilst it was 'off'. I once composed a piece written entirely with spray cheese and wax paper. It was orchestrated for mouse choir and angry cat...it had one premiere...tragically. Zetetic
I can play an octave and a third fairly comfortably, an octave and a fourth at a stretch.
Engineered Composer
I can play an octave and a third fairly comfortably, an octave and a fourth at a stretch. I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood that we're now talking about cheese. The good, the bad, and the stinky.
goodridge_winners
i like blue vein cheese. i microwaved it on something once...and disliked it immensly! i spelt that wrong, im sure.
Mr Lex.
Blue vein cheese is good. Though I prefer Kefalograviera more at this point in time....although it doesn't smell too flash hot when you forget to put it back in the fridge and find it a few days later

Ferkungamabooboo
I might be able to hit an octave... but I make no bones about my crappines... on a bass guit I've got maybe a 6-fret range, with bad intonation
Tokkemon
The best cheese is Jarlesburg! Yay Norway!
Mahlerite
10ths comfortably, stretch to most 11ths. Seems to be the case for most of us.
