SamvParr
I have a festival coming up for piano and I need to decided which piece is more difficult (because of practice restraints and what not). So, If you have a moment, tell me which you think is more difficult (technically). Chopin - Militaire Polonaise Op. 40 no.1 Liszt - Liebestraum no.
MaestroMarvel
I would choose the Chopin polonaise, and not the Liszt Liebestraum because it took me much longer to learn the Liebestraum than many other pieces. Although Liszt's does give the performer some pleasure in the exprssion of the broken chords, I would find the Polonaise more suited for a festival.
