Export the whole track to mp3 first, so that i can hear the overall result. Give me a brief description of every instrument you have in your step sequencer then and for every external library i don

Well, I'm done (finally). In the following links you will find an mp3 of my track and a .rar folder of samples I used. I tried to not to use too much, so it basically has just 4 or 5 samples you don't have. I also used some of the soundfonts I sent you earlier. In the rar file you will find two folders where I keep my sound libraries. If you have a D: partition, just create folder called: Sound Libraries and put the two folders from the rar file in it. I recon it should work. The project file is also there. I really got lost in an attempt to make it work the way you told me to. :/

Anyway, about the track itself, it's 3 mins long, has some drums, strings, french horn, piano, bass, some syths, percussion and a bit of choir. I tried to put as much as I could in it as you told me to. Forgive if it seems a little unconnected at times, I really had a hard time finishing it without a keyboard, since I borrowed it to a friend.

Very good! I just listened to the mp3 and wrote down the structure of this track but for now i cannot focus enough to start with a detailed analysis because i am suffering from heavy (!) toothache - i hope to be able to do this tomorrow, but for now i just want to give you a general overview of how i want to go through the whole process.

Four parts that should enable us to analyze every aspect of this track from different standpoints:

Well, I always think I could have done something much better. I'm never happy with what I made. I understood pretty much every advice you gave me so far. I guess I will play around with that later tonight.

Whatever you think is best way to continue please go ahead. I'm up for every solution.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. There wasn't any particular idea behind the first section of my piece, that was pretty much just soloing on a piano recorded and remade in FL.

The other part however was written long ago, it was meant to accompany a LOTR like medieval battle scene. I just thought of trying and putting it in this piece. (it was with orchestral percussion not drums initially.)

Ok, I get most of all this except about send 1,2,3 channels of the mixer. How do you define which of the normal channels you wish to include in an specific effect of the lets say send 1 channel? And what happens if you have more instruments you wish to master than the 16 channels of the mixer? Is it possible to increase the number of channels?

The FL Studio mixer features 64 channels. Use the scroll bar in the top left to see all of them.

To "send" a normal channel to a send channel simply increase one of the four knobs that are associated with the corresponding send channel you want to activate while the track is selected that you want to send. Usually one would load a reverb to a send channel that has it
