You don't think professionals would want to network with other professionals?
I didn't say that. I merely pointed out odds are professional composers/musicians/whatever probably don't need to google network composers or something like that to network. Like us mathematicians have our ways, they got their own. Most professional interaction I have with other professional mathematician on a random online forum is when I'm having problems with a program. I imagine it might be the same for professional composers or something.
Hmm, that is a very good point. If you have any suggestions on how I can address those who do not wish to have reviews but only wish to showcase their works, let me know. An idea off the top of my head; during the upload process, I could implement a radio box that defaults to "reviews" or the other option would be "comments". When checking on "reviews" a template will be presented, asking the reviewer certain questions about the piece so we can standardize reviews. Upon clicking comments, just a standard box will be presented....
I don't think a professional would showcase their work here just for the hell of it. After all, I assume they were paid to do the work or can get paid for it. The only way I can imagine a professional actually wanting to showcase his work here if a)he's been helping out and just wants to give us a treat b)he had an idea he thinks it's neat, but not something he would really want to spend more time on. Either way, I just don't seen any real incentive for them to do it.

If you want to have a showcase option. Have it work like the major works section. Submit for approval and then if it's of quality (whatever that means) send it off. It really shouldn't matter to much, half of the reviews here are more like comments anyways.

Lastly, on ferk's point of alienating some members. Not a big concern really. If you can't post music here...then they'll post music there. I don't imagine anyway really getting upset, maybe annoyed, but after x amount of years with you, we've gone through worse.

I like it. It has this old house feel. And everyone loves watching this old house.

it's a pain in the donkey to type and again words that sound good on their own doesn't mean it's a good name for a brand. Cellar door are two cool words, but I wouldn't say microwaves called that.
