Dear Composers from all over the world,

Plathner's Eleven of Hannover (Plathner's Eleven on MySpace Music) invites composers to collaborate for the season 2011. Four huge concerts will be given, there are lots of wonderful musicians, winners of competitions worldwide on the roster.

Being fans of the XXI Century music and great supporters of young talented composers, we invite You all for a small selection-competition (whatever You may call our humble, but fair and highly professional business). We are searching for pieces for piano solo, duo (singer or an instrument with a piano, also piano duo) or a small ensemble (2-4 traditional orchestra instruments + piano), what would not exceed 8 minutes and would be based on:

* a Book or a Novel (Comic Books also count)

* a Poem

* a Myth or a Legend

* an Historical event

This competition may not be seen as an opportunity to earn money - this is meant to be a first step, first big boost for a composer. Still being students and musicians ourself, we can not provide monetary prizes, just our skills and help. This is why there is no entrance fee here. Prizes - we will gladly perform the best pieces on our concerts, providing the recording of it on our myspace, reverbnation, facebook and youtube for audiences around the world (For more details, see Regulations below). As not all pieces are to be chosen (we also have time limits and many great composers from the past in our program...), we created a judging panel, consisting of famous musicians and composers, living in Hannover, also people from our audience - they are obliged to hear young talented creators and be as fair, as possible. Our dear audience, we are sooooo proud of, inspired us to make this call and they are already waiting to hear new ideas and learn new names.

The deadline for all the applicants is October 10th, 2010. The "verdict" is to be known by October 22nd. The application should include the musical score (.pdf format), the description and the audio file of the piece (midi, mp3, wav, ape, wma). The links to Your websites will sadly not be accepted. Also, please introduce You and Your achievements so far (few sentences are better, than nothing). There are no limits on the count of works, presented by one composer. The previous participants, including the winners, are free to apply again. There is also no entrance fee, as we don't want to profit from this competition. The applications to be sent to plathners11@yahoo.com.

We are waiting forward to hear from You. Be free to ask questions.

In the name of all the Plathners of all the times,

Gintaras Janusevicius, artistic director
