I'm doin' it! What does "structurally cohesive and artistically strong" mean? No pauses and conveying something muscular?

Well, by structurally cohesive I mean that your ideas have to be used in ways that fit with your overall piece. So for instance, if you doing a sonata form.. I expect it to adhere in some semblance to sonata-allegro form. If your doing a ternary form, I'd expect it to have 3 sections (ABA) etc. If you have a piece with 3000 ideas that are just jammed together... then well, thats not structurally cohesive. As for artistically strong, that's a rather lose term. I want pieces that are fit for performance.

HAHA you edited your post as I was editing the list... well, any aesthetic will do - as long as its not to difficult.

Haha, yer sorry about that mate, had a thought :P

I'll help judge. :)

I don't think it'll be good to have someone both judging and participating, just an opinion.

Ok here is my piece!! It is Entitled "Festive Rondo" This piece should roughly be in the intermediate area of piano talent. There are two difficult parts where there is a melody and harmony switch between the right and left hands and there is a canon in there, too. Please Enjoy my piece! (Plaese note: the Mp3 is not a recoding, it is a sample rendering. And Sorry about the reverb I'll fix it soon.)

Jason -

Very interested in doing this. A few more question if you don't mind.

1) What is the MINIMUM length?

2) Can you submit a collection of pieces?

3) Intermediate 2 covers a wide range of technical abilities - from repeated notes, playing chord inversion without unduly stretching the fingers and alternating articulations to fast alberti bass, repeated thirds and quick scalar runs with finger crossing as in the Clemente and for the Chopin, supple wrist to play octaves and voicing inner voices in thick chord in the right hand as well as getting the top voices and ability to play chords at piano and forte

Of the above what are your most pressing technical needs?

I posted a link a few posts ago that my teachers gathers works from. Its a free website (check some of my previous posts here for link). I'm looking for something a little bit challenging. I need to work on coordinating playing with two hands. I can do 1 hand fine - but when I get two together... it fumbles.
