or am I just not smart enough to figure it out?

It was like that on the last version of the website too.

Guest John Pax

I go to listen to an uploaded piece logged in.

I click the link on the thread, am redirected and then asked to log in.

I do so but now am redirected and asked to confirm my email address.

I don't try to listen to the piece.

NEW ISSUE:

http://forum.youngcomposers.com/t27916/violin-sonata-in-a-major-op-3/page__pid__358377__st__0entry358377

Ananth's piece is a multi-movement work. He was having difficulty uploading the midi files. I asked him to email them to me - and attempted to upload them for him. I checked the make movement owner box to upload multiple movements and then clicked edit movements. Instead of taking me to the page where you edit your movements... it redirected me to the homepage! This really needs fixed ASAP!

When searching from the main search bar on the homepage (i.e. the one that points to http://www.youngcomposers.com/mod/directory/search.php), all the result links are missing an initial slash between youngcomposers.com and profile. For example:

http://www.youngcomposers.comprofile/music/deathraider/composition?entry=30965

Should actually be:

http://www.youngcomposers.com/profile/music/deathraider/composition?entry=30965

Ok, so...

Angela wanted to upload the mp3 for her third movement onto the network. She was having problems doing it so I tried to do it. It redirected me to her profile page and in the top left hand corner it says No data Added - this after I checked make movement owner and then edit movements. She originally had this as a single movement work - perhaps that is the problem?

Can't upload

I click "upload composition" then I'm taken to that page.

It was the same thing weeks ago when I tried to test the very recent new site, seems that whatever is the problem, it remains. This happens with IE8, Firefox, and Chrome.

EDIT:

see in the window state it says "Done"

The "Done" in the status bar just means the page was finished loading in the browser. Those markers are a remnant from the old days when connections were not very fast and the speed of loading the page was of interest to the user. Now, not so much, which is why most browsers offer an option to hide it.

the upload stuff should appear in the empty center area no ? well I have never seen it.

But why so drastic, no even an error or overlaped things, no just nothing at all ? and in 3 different browsers ? what do i have to check in my system ? everything looks fine.

Wow really? That's bad. I didn't even notice that.

Another potentially extreme bug: Any threads created in the forum, regardless of visibility by members will show up on the creater's profile. i.e. When a mod creates a private thread in the mod forum, it still shows up in the network in full view of everyone to see what was said. I lol'd when I saw some of the stuff there.
