Larghetto in B-flat

Recommended Posts

Here is a little piano piece I wrote today.  I'd say it's an impressionistic piece but I'm not sure how to strictly categorize it.  In real life it would be played with a good deal of rubato but such are the limitations of computer playback.  Any feedback or comments are welcome. Thanks for listening!

I think this would have been developed, if you would want it...

I see two parts (1-16, 16-32) with a common and unifying motive (the triplets).

I like many things here: the initial crescendo (bars 6-7...), ald the left hand when the motive becomes more present in the second part.

I don't think it is impressionistic, and it doesn't matter. Perhaps impressionism is most undefined regarding harmony: quartal chords, or by seconds or fifthds, paralellism, hybrid chords....
