A small thing I did while studying for my exams. This is my second composition written for orchestra (modified orchestral ensemble). The mixing is terrible, I know. It was really random and all crazy, so please forgive me... Thank you for listening and wish all of you a nice, peaceful, warm New Year filled with creativity, brilliant ideas, and wonderful music!

Rarely does something build on itself in this piece, until the end. Near the end was nice, especially around the first E major section, and beyond that. You seem to have a compulsion to cut into a new idea in the beginning portions perhaps a little bit too often.
Your borrowed iii chords were implemented quite well, and I like how only some of them led to modulations, very clever writing.
You did this a little more near the end (it was still largely homophonic), but if you're to improve this, see if you can add some polyphony! Then, the transitions from different sub-sections will seem a lot smoother!

Cheers!

The transition could be a little smoother, I agree. Thank you for listening and a helpful comment!

It reminded me of "Scissorhands" movie! :)

Loved the instrumentation, could use a little more of a stable melody, like a memorable "tune" to make it stand out.

Happy new year!

Thank you! Also wish you a happy new year.
