Tulips (harp writing initiation)

Recommended Posts

This is very short, I know.

The fact is I'm starting to learn about writing for the harp, which is fascinating. I know the notation of the pedal changes is unnecessary but I write them just for me. I love the sound of the harp and its possibilities. For now, I only want to do little pieces that are supposedly right, from the playing point of view.

Lovely! I question why you use 10/8 instead of 5/8 when the bars can be split in the first place. Those big chords might prove to be a little bit of a problem since the fourth finger would have to bend to play immediately after the third finger, going bottom up.
But it's really quite nice and I think all the pedals are good since it's almost completely in two harp modes. Cheers!

Thanks a lot!

This kind of comments are valuable for me! Well, I wrote 10/8 because, harmonically, I considered them as units not only because the 4 note upper figure repeats but also for the notes in the bass.

I'm studying scores (while listening), which is perfect to learn (from the masters!).

Cheers!
