Ben Maier
Hey guys I was trying to create a sort of gypsy/Spanish kinda sounding thing (theres probably a proper style name for it by I don't know it). Have a listen and let me know any ideas or suggestions you might have for it :) cheers!
Luis Hernández
Hi, very nice piece. I would say it's Mediterranean. There are many scales linked to the area. Some of them sound here (Phrygyan major?, F melodic minor). Although the scales make that music from different parts around the Mediterranean Sea sound similar, they're not the same. Your work has a more Eastern sound than Spanish, although you use a prototypycal Spanish instrument: las castañuelas (castenets). It sounds a bit as a tango or, I would say, as an Habanera. In fact, it's a dance. The most representative scale-mode in traditional Spanish music is the Phrygian Dominant, but there are others. Anyway, it's very beautiful... I love it. Vadrif D. Zobrist
Sounds like a mixture of Arabian Desert music (or as mentioned above Mediterranean) and Spanish. They mix beautifully. It feels like background music for some old comedy film.
DFox
Really nice. Sounds like the East meets the Mediterranean. What sound module (s) are you using? Very realistic sounds.
