Shadow of the Sun

I don't even know what I'm doing here, I'm so bad at this haha. First time posting. Here's a piece I wrote for a project we had to do for AP Music Theory a few weeks ago where we took the harmonic structure/progression of another piece or song and rewrote a melody for it. I decided to use Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata Presto agitato and copied the form too.

To skip the repeat, jump from 5:14 to 10:28

I think the melody (violin) is good, interesting, emotional in some parts....

If this is an exercise to rewrite a melody for a given chord progression, I wouldn't have used the piano as background because it has the normal clichés and lacks when someone is not very skilled in piano writing. Mainly that, in many parts, it's just an instrument that plays vertical chords. Well, it's not a piano writing. In other parts it's better.

Anyway, when doing this kind of exercises I prefer to use a string background and focus on the melody.

On the other hand it's a big job you've made.
