Theme for piano Nº5

Hi,

I didnt share this one before, but I am doing it as I love the feedback from here. I dont take all literally, as I have my own criteria too, but I always consider most of the received feedback for future works. I am a bit lazy correcting what is already done LOL, so it is always used for my future music, which is what really motivates me (to create new stuff).

Hope you like it.

Very joyful!

I really like your melodies and accompaniments, although there could be more contrast between the different themes.
The music sounds too repetitive to me. Maybe you should include other harmonies.
Finally, the ending of the piece was too abrupt for me.
A coda would be very pleasant.

Overall, the music is fun! Try to play around with contrast and variation to prevent boringness.

I really like this piece. It is really funny and very pleasant to listen to. The theme is handled very well and even the stranger harmonies are developing quite logically out of the musical flow. I see no problem with your basic structure - A A' is a quite common form for shorter pieces.  However, I think a small coda that closes the piece in its opening key would provide a more satisfying ending. If you want, you could also season the A' part with some ornamentations of the first part or some alternative harmonies.  A bit like in Baroque music where repeated sections were often ornamented richly, even though the score only showed simple repeat signs …

Thanks mates for your feedback. I know, the end is not the best, time to time I have troubles with ending some pieces. This was one of those cases. What I am seeing now is that I need to practice/study more left hand techniques, as I am not a pianist (I play keyboard, but not as a real pianist).

Rgds,

Ricardo
