My First Composition

I would like some feedback on my first ever composition, I didn't know where else to ask for feedback. Please be honest and don't be too harsh thank you.

Welcome here! Your Journey has led you to a musical place ;-)

Do you have a score for your piece? It really eases following the music.

There are some nice ideas and a somewhat minimalistic feel. You could be interested in listening to Philip Glass or Steve Reich. However, such seemingly repetitive music is not everyone’s cup of coffee. To be honest, the first two minutes became a bit tedious. Also, the end is a bit abrupt.

@Jack Hewitt

It's a bit too static, much better than my first composition though XD

It does sound like a journey, so well done, now you can be a film composer.

You know, I had one composition teacher in my life and he gave me total of 8 lessons (when I basically learned how to use the orchestra),

and when I asked him if he has any tips and if there's a fast way to get better he said two things:

1. Keep every single one of your works, even if it doesn't look so great now, you might need it later.

2. Just keep composing and thats what will make you better. A composer improves his skills through work.

So you have a good start,

Now it's time to keep going.

Good luck :)

Seems like something Hans Zimmer would do for interstellar (like for a transition between two scenes). Seems a little bit drawn out for a piece by itself. Perhaps add more variety to the chords used (please don't compose future music works using only four chords like the pop singers nowadays, I find it somewhat annoying)
