Canons for solo piano

Recommended Posts

Some of you may remember that I tried to write a crab canon a while ago. During my family holiday, I decided to have another ago. I enjoyed writing it so much that I wrote another 4 canons to go along with it. I would have written a 6th one but I didn't have time to do so before submitting my composition portfolio for uni.

Very impressive stuff. Might I point you in the direction of learning dissonant counterpoint? It's very rule based and theoretical just like tonal counterpoint, but it's interesting stuff if you don't already know about it. In terms of engraving, I'd fix up some of your ledger lines, especially those on the low side.

Ooo, dissonant counterpoint sounds interesting. I'll check it out.
