Any pro stringers can help with some notated double stopping?

Please See Pieter's edition Kreutzer study No. 42 bar 51 (and in that general area). Sorry I can't seem to get a picture in...

Double-stopping rhythm:

There are quavers in the top line, and dotted minims in the bottom line, but not all the quavers are slurred, meaning that you either 1)break up the dotted minim to fit the bowing of the quavers, 2)you slur all the quavers together, or 3)you only play the dotted minim on the first bow-stroke, and do not sound it on subsequent bow changes. I've listened to some recordings and they break up the dotted minim as if it was six quavers, but my teacher says to only sound it on the first bow stroke.

I know some editions explicitly notate method 1), and I am thinking I'll play method 1), but I wanted to know if there was any official way of playing all double-stops of this type, where the rythms don't match. (Also I don't wanna go against my teacher unless there's a good reason!)

Thanks
