Piece for piano E (etude)

I really like this. The Chopin influence is evident, but it manages not to sound like a copy, which is great. The use of chromatic scales is easily my favorite part about the piece. 1:14 - 1:18 is downright tasty.

I enjoyed most of the piece, but I thought the usage of some of the neapolitan (?) scales was just a little cliche and predictable, though, like around :30 - :34. It's an obvious place for a neapolitan -> minor chord resolution, and predictability detracts. However, the main theme is pretty stirring.

I really enjoyed listening to this. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Hi SergeOfArniVillage, yes I felt the same, so I improved that part a bit if you check now, I like it more as it is now :) (I considered modulate to D minor, but then the jump to the new main fast part was not that dramatic and explosive, so I keep that tonality). Nonetheless, I like those scales (harmonic A minor), I just wanted to give the music a break with a common small part (it is done by classical composers too sometimes).

I really appreciate your comment and time in listening. :)
