Resident Evil Inspiration

Recommended Posts

Inspired by the opening titles to the new-old Resident Evil 2 I wanted to make my own "zombie apocalypse" title sequence music. Not really a fan of the whole "ambient" and sound designy music, but it's what works here.

Good sound design. I agree with you that the lack of a strong tune weakens it, BUT since this is a title sequence - it's okay. Personally, title sequences are hard because there is no story or anything happening. It's literally a user interface/menu. That being said it is the first impression for the consumer and needs to create the mood and tone of the story. This piece does that correctly.

Great job.

I think you did a very good job here.  Music for this situation, is a very delicate balance between a musical statement and something being 'musical wallpaper'.  You don't want to bore the listener, but you don't want the music demanding his attention either.  great job
