Petite Chanson for Violin, Clarinet and Piano

Hi,

Here is a short and lyrical piece for Violin, Clarinet and Piano.

My first idea was a song for Sopran and Alto, but I choose violin and clarinet instead, that's why the range of both instruments are in the sopran and alto resister.

I'm looking forward to your feedback.

This has a nice melody and a good accompaniment. It's lovely throughout. I would suggest not stopping the rhythm at bars 10 and 42. Just keep it going. Also, you have a nice modulation going at bar 56, but a break in the melody at this point is disconcerting. You might consider holding that D for two more bars until it overlaps with the clarinet's entrance on F. And then continue with a brief harmonization of it. Something like that, just to make things flow better.

Hi Ken320 and Tónskáld, I really appreciate your comments!

@Tónskáld: you are totally right, I have changed the pedal markings beneath the lower piano staff.

@Ken320: I think is better to stop the rhythm at the end of the phrase, since the phrase have an anacrusic start out of the harmony and without accompaniment, I think it gives a renewing impulse and the start is clearer.

I have also tried to hold the D from bar 54 two more bars, as you suggested, but I don't find it convincing at all. I think it's more interesting to leave one bar just with the accompaniment. The idea of overlaping violin and clarinet is interesting, and it happends in the final coda (bars 96-108).
