Barcarolle in G Minor

Fruisen

Recommended Posts

Hello, everyone.

This is the first composition I have posted which is longer than eight measures in length! Though I have presented it as a Barcarolle, being as it was  initially inspired by Jakob Rosenhain’s Barcarolle in A-Flat Major (Op. 68), it has largely strayed away from the lighter, calmer characteristics of that form, and is ultimately not really a coherent or performance-intended piece. I feel also that I have listened to it so many times these past few days that I can no longer tell if it sounds strange or not, which has driven me to post it in its current state.

Any feedback or advice you could give would be very helpful, and I would like to thank Luis Hernández, Monarcheon, and edfgi234 for their comments on my last series of eight-measure pieces.
