CalibriStandard
Wrote a short waltz for violin and piano. I don't actually play violin, so there's probably something unplayable in there. I might extend this to a ABACA later on... jawoodruff
Charming little waltz. I agree, I think the material can easily be expanded into a cyclical rondo form. Good work!
Luis Hernández
The piano is quite interesting.
Tortualex
Some parts don't feel like a waltz but that makes it insteresting to the ear, I think you can expand it like you said, also some melody interchanges would be good, the "bass" in the violin and the melody in the piano to make it interesting for the pianist, also some contrapunct would make it even better,so the piano would not be only an acompaniment. Sorry for my bad english I hope my comment it's understandable
Aria Donn
I wish this piece were longer! It deserves an expanded treatment. I'd totally play this myself if it were more substantial.
EmperorConcerto
Some piano chord sound too heavy to me, giving the piano some melodic part would make the piece more interesting as mention by tortualex. But the piece sound really nice overall. Please do post here if it got extended.
Luis Hernández
Back to another listening. What I like of this piece is that it goes out of the comfort zone of piano waltz.... The broken chords, the thickened chords,..., oh man, that makes it interesting. Sticking to the waltz pattern everyone-of-us-can-write would have been boring. If you want to expand it or not, it's another question. To do it would, almost as a need, to look for a different piano background, because being original the one you have, overusing it would make it ordinary.
