Luis Hernández Posted January 21, 2020 Share Posted January 21, 2020 There's a problem with balance and volume in some parts. I swear I like mixing styles, I don't have problems with that. But it seems you go far sometimes. It begins sounding between baroque and classicist. Then comes the piano with some romantic arpeggios, and there is a part that sonds almost contemporary (m. 194 on.... for example). Or the harmonics in the violin m. 55-56. the themes are very beautiful. I think you have lots of material but with too many styles and techniques. Monarcheon Posted February 24, 2020 Share Posted February 24, 2020 This falls into the Andalusian cadence trap of trying to think of something new for every repetition of the hypermeter and it becomes a little boring after a while.
