Two orchestral sketches

I wrote these (and some more) just for fun and to learn....

Both well done. Viewing the score was difficult as ever with my small screen but I noticed some nice things like setting the harp pedalling.slurring to denote legato (mostly under the same bowstroke in the strings.) The scoring has great clarity. Beautiful.

I like the orchestration and I think you use it smartly. People (myself included) often use all their resources at all times, ending up with something over-orchestrated. You took your time and allowed the music to need that extra power to actually use it.

I particularly enjoyed the canon in the second sketch. It sounds awesome especially when juxtaposing sections where the harp plays with a big strings sound.

In M.43 the cello has a silence marking while the viola plays a G. Is this intentional?

Yes, when I had absolutely no idea, I waned to fill the score with all instruments all the time. I wasn't ready and, in fact, I didn't write for orchestra for that reason.

But I began to study the orchestra half a yerar ago, or so.... I have many things to learn...

Yes that was a mistake, thanks, I'll fix it.
