I finally figured out how to tune a scale with the harmonics of each note at such levels as to create pitch circularity, which is the phenomenon whereby the pitch chroma (C, D#, F, etc.) change with each note while the pitch height does not (such a scale is called circular because you can keep moving in one direction along the pitch axis and return to your starting point seamlessly instead of by having to jump back up or down as is normally the case). It was quite hard, because this is a very little known phenomenon, and the researchers who described it didn't really explain how it's done. I had to rely on my intuition. Anyway, here are a couple of pieces written using the instrument I tuned in this fashion:
