Fugue in d-minor

Recommended Posts

A short fugue composed by me.

I would like some comments regarding harmony, modulations and counterpoint.

I am aware that the piece is impossible to play.

The subject is already a bit weird, but here you have the moments that convinced me the least: 0:15 (modulation feels too forced), 0:22 (the ascending melody feels too long and it loses relevance), 0:37 (that tonal shift feels weird to me). In general the second half or last third makes you feel too lost, I would try to use more clear divertimentos using the circle of fifths and chromatism if you feel very confident. Maybe try accentuating something so the structure is more clear.
