String Quartet in A minor

Samuel Tang

Recommended Posts

Just finished the first movement of my new project. The first movement is introduced by an 8-bar section (slow), follow by an exciting syncopated section. The development involves elements from both sections and goes to a soothing C major slow section, which is interrupted by the syncopated section inspired coda. Please enjoy 🙂

Very good ideas and creativity, but for me the piece sounds rushed and at some other points it sounds repetitive. It is okay, the use of consonance-dissonance is pretty nice and your melodies aren't too predictable (which I believe is good) like something I could compose.

Thank you for your lovely comment :) What do you suggest to make it less repetitive but has a recognisable melody/harmony ?

For example in the minute 1:49 change that structure a little bit. Later you repeat it.
