I actually enjoyed this!  Correct me if I'm wrong:

  • A section (m. 1 - 8 ) in b minor
  • B section (m. 9 - 16) which is a kind of a development section going through various different keys
  • A section reprise (m. 17 - 24) in b minor

Have you ever written in a compound form where you nest say a ternary form within a larger binary section?

But what you have was nice and I found it entertaining to analyze closely.  Your development section seems very versatile too and I wish you would have elongated all the sections somehow.  Thanks for the music!

@PaperComposer wow thanks for analyzing my piece! I'm only in middle school right now(15), so I've been mostly experimenting with short ternary forms. I will definitely try out writing larger forms like the compound form you mentioned for big ensembles as well when I go to high school next year 😆
