I'm Scottish but have lived here a long time, so the mixture of the Japanese name with a Scottish word in the title was deliberate. PeterthePapercomPoser Posted January 4, 2021 Share Posted January 4, 2021 I think it is very evocative and deceptively simple - like Satie's music. To me it kind of sounds like you mixed Satie and Sibelius as your influences in this piece. Omae Hama looks like a beautiful place to live. I personally like the piano version better for its simplicity. The version for piano, oboe and strings sounds like a Japanese video game music track (which isn't necessarily bad just different imo).
