An interesting composition and video - whether gospel or not I can't tell, neither being a fan of such music nor religious (spiritual yes, religious, no) but listening to it as a multi-media piece I found the nuances of harmony intriguing and the plaintive voice pretty good for the overall effect. It's a bit rough at the edges - sure, its mood is primitive but some refinement should be possible: reverb judiciously applied here and there but the scoring balance is good.

Is it a big enough work to need a conductor though? Possibly.

Hi Quinn,

I was so very happy to read your review : ) thank you immensely, it´s very intresting for me to hear a review from a composer. I would love to have a real live orchester performing this song with real instruments wich should make the sound quality much better. It would be a dream come true. I dont know much about reverb but I´m thankfull for the valuable suggestion, I will try to learn more about reverb : ) Do you have any link to any of your composition´s? It would be really intresting to hear your music to.

I was happy to listen to it, Maria. The video is very fitting - simple but clever. Your sense of timing is superb. I had to listen to/watch it again.

"Reverb" (reverberation) isn't exactly echo, but a kind of echo in a room/concert hall or church that gives the feeling of space. Most virtual instruments or players have some kind of reverberation thing attached that you can adjust to get the effect of room size. A big subject really but one that you can pick up as you go along.

Unfortunately my music is fairly modern and may not make sense. But here's a little one - just under 4 minutes.  It's real title is "Song without words for mezzo-soprano and strings" Mostly quiet and calm and uses a small amount of 'reverb'.  .SIncere thanks for your interest.

I think we'd all love to hear our work performed live. Hopefully you'll have a chance to hear yours performed soon. Keep composing!

I´m so happy to hear you really liked the video, thank´s for letting me know! : ) If I´m able I will film one new video to the next gospel song I release. It will be a song with a classic orchestra sound combined with a traditional Jewish sound, a song of celebration and joy. I hope to film even more diffrent scenes to that music video.

Thank you immensely for sending me your composition here and for shareing it with me, I really liked how the instruments in some parts of the song quickly goes from very silent calm to suddenly explosion of sounds, I like that style. The eco is very beautiful and realistic and the sound you have manage someway to get crystal clear, and the voice is very powerfull especially in the high notes.

Now I understand something that I did not understand before about reverb, that you can do reverb echo also on instruments not only on the voice, this will definitly help my comositions, and I understand now that it will sound more realistic and like an live orchestra is playing in a big hall or church if one uses reverb echo also on the instruments, Im deeply thankfull you shared about reverb with me, thanks!
