I wonder why nobody still answered you. You made a very big job. One month ago when I saw it first, I thaught that Actaeon is only a first composition (Morning Breaks), today I listened all the others compositions from this album. I found some diamonds: first of all - The goddes  Artemis. This composition have something mysterious, exspecially a theme at 0:42, it make me to think about Blade Runner and Vangelis and I have a big desire to come back and to relisten it.. Great job. I loved also - Actaeon wanders the forest. What make you to write this music? You had some inspiration? Movie?

Thanks for taking the time to listen!

There’s a few sections that still need a little work, but thanks for the compliments.

The inspiration behind writing this, came from two separate things.

First, right before Covid started, I went to an exhibition at a museum, about costume and set design for the stage. It had a large collection from the Ballet Russe, including pieces from the original productions of Stravinsky’s Firebird, Petrushka and Rite of Spring. That made me want to try my hand at writing a ballet, in the same form as those.
Then, when the pandemic struck, I found my self watching a lot of Netflix and came across a show called Myths and Monsters. It included a segment on Actaeon’s encounter with Artemis… and that’s how it happened. The first part I wrote was the “goddess Artemis” section and everything flowed from that.

Once again thanks for the kind words.

If you have any constructive criticism, I’m more then open to hear it.

I personally liked the hunters celebration the best.  Your style of heterophonic textures and a sort of detachment from the pitches you choose to use works well in that track.  In other tracks it proves to be quite cacophonous for extended periods of time which is grating on the ears (specifically the Goddess Artemis track imo).  Actaeon and the hunters search for each other also works well with your approach to melody and harmony because it mostly stays quiet especially in the beginning.  Sometimes the way you harmonize your melodic material sounds too rich or like you overuse 3rd's.  Then, in "Actaeon is transformed" you seem to overuse minor 2nd's in a kind of stereotypical fashion.  Maybe I'm just nitpicking though.  You have put together quite an elaborate and drawn out programmatic work which communicates musically the story that you intended to depict.  So congratulations on that!  Thanks for sharing.
