Tom Dahlenburg
I wrote this piece just this morning, it relies mostly on the string sections to help keep the piece full and not shallow or weak. I rarely use the woodwind mostly just for trills. I finish the piece with a build up and a final resolve to a D Major. Luis Hernández
I find this piece a bit progressive (and restless). It's good but I miss some more countermelodies.
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu
I love the pacing of the piece and how it moves forward. But I think the contrast of this piece is not good enough to bring out the final resolve in D major, because mostly the piece is inside D major, therefore the force of moving forward seems aimless. Maybe some contrasting section modulated to other keys can be added in between? But your orchestration is just amazing. How can you write this in just a morning??!! That's fascinating! jawoodruff
Where's the score for this? I'd love to give a more thought out review of this -but without a score.... I'm not sure that's really possible. That said, there doesn't seem much variety in your material here. Seems to be reminiscent of caliope music (think merry go rounds...) Also... why do you reference Beethoven's 5th at the end?
