French Suite (played on clavichord)

So people have complained about the clacking on the clavichord and it's something that I will deal with in time but for now this is what I have.  I wrote this over the summer and it's my first truly multi-movement (as opposed to just multi-sectional) work.  It might be inspired as much by the virginalists as by Couperin, D'anglebert, etc.  Anyways I hope you like it but either way you are free to criticize/ comment and so forth.

I love this piece! I always love live performances by its own composer. It can show the authenticity of it more than a MIDI file. Great job playing it! Will you provide a score for fellow members to view it in a more detailed way?

I love the use of ornaments in it. This really shows how important ornaments are in instruments like clavichord and harpsichord to prolong its sound!

That's the first time I hear the dance of Brawl, and I love both of them!

My favourite movement is the Gigue, aince it shows skills in both composing and playing it! Really great job!

Thanks Henry, really appreciate it.......there is a score for all the movements but the second branle/ brawl, which I have yet to write down.  However, it looks like I didn't scan the gigue for some reason, although the score exists.  Finally, there are wrong notes in my scanned copy of the score, as well as some beats that are entirely missing in certain places, so it's something that absolutely needs to be edited.  But in any case, here are the three movements that i scanned last summer

Yeah it's not plucked like a harpsichord.  The action is very simple, with each key acting as a lever with a "tangent" or a blade attached to it, which touches the string when the key is depressed.  Harpsichord is a little more complicated but not much, and pianos are quite a bit more complex.  

The sound is very quiet so it's good for playing late at night and if you live in an apartment.  Unlike a harpsichord, it does have the ability to use dynamics.

It's been a long time, Gaspard! Harpsichord, clavichord and other less used (nowadays) ancient keyboard instruments are quite uncommon to see here thus I'm glad you came back and brought some fresh music for clavichord, again played by yourself. Various superficial things:

• Nice to see you uploaded the manuscript here too though the second page is rotated 180º, as well as pages 5-8. I love the "Continue to next page" indication with that fancy arrow and calligraphy.
• It's true the sound is far from making justice to the piece, to the point it gets a bit annoying so I understand the people complaint. A second, more general POV that showed the whole instrument, alternated with the view you already bring would have served better too, I would say.
• I'd say my favourite movements are 3rd and 4th (Branle & Rondó), but I am not sure if my opinion would change with a more clean (sound-wise) performance.

In any case, and despite issues in sound, it was a piece with some quite enjoyable moments, for me, the two movements mentioned.
