Guest Nickthoven Posted November 30, 2005 Share Posted November 30, 2005 Just giving an update as to how I'm doing on this. I'm about 1/2 done; it is in 2 parts. The first part is done, variating rhythms slowly, like minimalism. The second part will be rhythmically constant, and with much harmonic variation. It is basically a chaconne, as the variations are on a harmonic progression, not a melody. I hope this is ok. :thumbsup: Also, I will be able to record myself playing this for the final product, as it is pretty easy. Since contestant entry is closed, it won't count though and unfortunately I don't have the sheet music since it was recorded; but I'm sure that's fine since it won't count to begin with. I doubt I´m going to finish by this saturday, I have no time, and I have a gig that day and we are rehearsing, but I promise I´ll do my best to have it ready.... my final question would be... is it still a minimum of 5 variations? I now have the full score for it and everything so it can be a proper submittion but it's a little on the large side. It's 20 variations...yeah so I got a bit carried away, so sue me.
