Sawdust Posted February 23, 2007 Share Posted February 23, 2007 Hey I was wondering if anyone could reccomend a few good textbooks about basic music theory (I think I need to go back to class on that one), classic opera, jazz, big band blues and symphony. I'm also planning on getting Jody Fisher's series for learning jazz guitar, I've seen a few lessons online with him and he guy is amazing. The Levine book is invaluable for learning and understanding the workings of jazz theory. ...You should, nay must purchase that book. I don't have it anymore....I used it so much it fell apart.
