I am mostly inspired by Bernard Hermann, Danny Elfman, and John Williams. I terms of past composers, I like people from the Romantic Period. I like the heavy German stuff (Brahms, Beethoven) and the French free form stuff (Ravel, Debussey). I compose on the piano most of the time, but I use Finale to write dark brassy things with lots of crazy modulations. I have a site that my friend help me set up: http://myspace.com/winterofsolitude I wrote all of them except for "Tarnished Dusk." *Don't mind the weird names (I'm not responsible for them.)

I compose more easily if I have pictures or stories or scenarios in the back of my mind. And I need some ideas. I am open to all suggestions. My name is Ben by the way. I'm new here.
