  1. Thank you for the advice, I will try my best to improve the identification of which is the melody/harmony. Also I will try and add more dynamics/clarity to the instruments as you suggested. Thank you again for your advice, as I always like to improve what I have done. Darren.
  2. I have uploaded the MP3 to Speedy Share.
  3. Hi, Sorry about the delay, I wasnt sure which to use, I will upload again using one of your recommended hosts.
  4. Hi, Thank you for the tip. I will upload an MP3 Darren.
  5. Hi, Yes I will do that soon. Can you export a sibelius file into a PDF? Thank you, Darren.
  6. Hi, This is the first sample of a orchestral piece I have started and wondered If I could have some advice, its the first piece I have ever composed  Here are the links: WAVE: Orchestral.wav - 13.86MB MP3: http://www.speedyshare.com/184671835.html Thank you for your help in advance. Darren.
  7. One more question. When the instrument is about to play later in the piece, do you put in a few bars before to prepare? Thank you. Darren.
  8. Hi Everyone, Thank you for your help, it has helped a lot. Thanks again. Darren.
  9. Hi, I have got to take a score of some music I have composed to an audition. If the instrument is not playing for the majority of the piece, do you hide the empty Staves? My notation is in Sibelius (which is OK for the audition), I noticed the hide empty Staves feature in Sibelius and was wondering if I should use this for the notation or is this not very professional? I hope I explained it well enough.:D Thank you for your help. Darren.
  10. Hi, Thank you for the great reply. This has helped me and solved my question. Thanks again. Darren.:D
  11. Hi, I have just made a new chord sequence on my guitar. What is the quickest and most efficiant way of working out what key the chords are in? Also the same again but for a melodic line? Thank you for your help in advance Darren.:D
  12. Cool thanks for your replies and your help! I will check out them books. Thank you. Darren.
  13. Hi, What is the best way to work out what other chords you can use in your music other than the chords of the key. I know you can use the relative major/minor etc. Are there any others that are useful? The type of music is instrumental rock. Thank you for your help in advance. (This forum is great!:D) Darren.
  14. Hi, Thank you for your help! - This forum is great! Yeah instrumental rock is my favorite as well (Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Joe Satriani, etc.) Darren.
