  1. I'm going to need a typesetter!!!! Does Adobe set the page for anysize? Say, 9 by 12? That's the size of the score in the complete finished version. Or maybe the aesthetics don't too much matter, since it's only for review purposes. I'll see what I can do. I've also done some more editing to the piece, some of the transitions felt a bit abrupt between the B and the A sections in the end.
  2. New reworked Piano piece!!!

  3. New reworked Piano piece!!!

  4. This is a piece that I started a long time ago, and withdrew it because of the simplicity of form. It was Really just a section of a tenary form. I've reworked it into an expanded tenary form with A A+ B A. I hope you all enjoy. This is just the MP3 but if I get requests for the score I'll post that up. Nocturne
  5. I started this piece the other day... just stared at the clock and it was three am, and I opened a blank score and this is what I have so far. If anybody wants to see the score I can upload that as well. Its right under 2 minutes though, so I didnt think anyone would want the score. Do you think its worth finishing? I was trying to depict the rustling wind and with the chimes the sense of a bell tower striking three, and then the trying to invoke an ominous feeling. Hour of three.mp3
  6. II really enjoy the writing, the sparse orchestration actually creates a more intimate character for the piece. You don't ever have to fill every section to the fullest, some would say the I think the title fits nicely, I did get a feeling of acrobats doing constant flips and turns... it had somewhat serene cirque du soleil feeling. The rhythm is the star in this piece, the harmony takes on a secondary role and fits perfectly.
  7. Thank you! It is very tame, I didn't want to overwhelm the little chap! Maybe one day he can play the other two I've written but they're a different story all together.

  9. This is another of my caprices, this one is in C major with flip to the relative minor. I cannot come up with a subtitle. Caprice
  10. This etude was written for one of my students, it is in the key of E major, and works on shifting from first to third position and poses some unique bowing in the middle section. Little Etude in E
  11. I've been writing these little caprices for a while now, and I've started to realize that I've compiled quite a few. I'm planning on arranging them into three different books, Beginner,Intermediate and Advanced studies for solo violin. Caprice Velocity
  12. I think it's absolutely beautiful. It doesn't need anything else!
  13. Very early Bach, all off his double concertos use a fugal texture, and it's perfectly imitated here. It really does sound more like a concerto for two soloist with string orchestra accompaniment, a quartet could play it, but I think it would sound a bit anemic, at least three instruments to a part or maybe 3,3,3,2 would be a better balance. It's nicely written, I would have loved to hear more from the second movement though. Vernon
