Searching for a chord...

Featured Replies

As funny as this may sound but I am searching for a specific chord, or chords.

Anyway, I remember some years back, I played this game, which I do not remember what it was called, and in one sequence in its soundtrack there was I believe two chords played on a piano, low register, 2nd and 3rhd octave I believe, but the thing is, I cannot find it, I am trying for some time and I just can't find it. The chord(s) sounded really dark, sinister and just that one single chord struck made a really really freaky atmosphere. And I tried almost anything I could think of, and no luck... so anybody willing to have a guess please do try.

I expect you're looking for a specific voicing rather than just the chord.

You'll be surprised how voicing can effect the impact of any chord.

Considering that it's "dark and sinister" he's probably referring to some kind of diminished 7th chord. Do you know notes at all phantomoftheopera? If you do try playing a C - D# -F# - A on your keyboard.

Perhaps this chord will find its way back to you soon enough. Just keep composing, or whatever you do.
