February 21, 201115 yr I've run up against this several times, but I've never found a suitable way to write it. Let's say I have a C triad broken up and played in eighth notes (quavers), but I would like to have each note held till the end of the measure. In Sibelius, I could split it into separate "voices", making the first note a whole note in one voice, and the second and third note another voice. Like this: http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/5097/ctriad.jpg But, that doesn't seem right to me. How would you handle this?
February 21, 201115 yr Author Interesting. I had thought briefly of doing that. But, wasn't sure how a performer would look at it. I guess adding the comp. note in there helps. Thanks.
