I composed this song two days ago. It took me approximately 6 hours to complete everything. This is definitely an easy-listening and a not-so-easy-to-play one. You can consider this to be a piano-solo work, but the added string-ensemble does play a role, I guess. I am very lazy to classify the strings-ensemble into appropriate classes of Violin/Viola/Cello, so you do not need to see it in the pdf-score. Oh, I know that I have been submitting more than a few songs but not writting feedbacks on others :P ... I will join the community later  mp3 link: SoundClick artist: ntt82 - Nguyen Thu Trieu girlatthespinningwheel.MID spinning.pdf

  5. I liked this song
  6. I finished this movement last year, in Feb-2008. I have had a few measures of the third movement, but you might have to wait long :P Links: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7737854 http://ntt82.wordpress.com/files/2009/06/pianoconcerto3m1.pdf

thank jfmayii. I will be absent for a while. I have found my lover. I am spending my time with her (no time for music and stuff/blog :D ). But, after a while, you can hope that my music is more beautiful
  10. DO study counterpoint. The biggest reason that make me NOT a good composer until now is my limited understanding of counterpoint. Vertically, bad counterpoint caused not only bad harmonization but also bad orchestration. Me too.
  11. Dear QcCowboy, Thank you very much for your detail analysis and helpful advice ! The golden rule ! Yeah surely, I will be doing a SHORT subject for my next fugue. Notwithstanding, I do not give up hope and, at least make an attempt at repairing those flaws.
  12. thank you, Cowboy. You are convincing. Quote: "the 1st part suddenly becomes incredibly boring when the 2nd voice enters." Yes, I suddenly love the "chord progression" :D and it entered with the 2nd & 3rd voices, this is bad, though. Further, I am afraid the 1st part is itself boring too but I guess I should complete the episode first and see what to do with that subject later.
  13. I did this contrapuntal tune today. It's unfinished, please find flaws and advise me to fix them. Thank you fugue3.MID

Yeah ! Two guitars! how do you think ? In fact, it was initially composed for two guitars in D minor! The melodic guitar played an octave lower than the soprano. To Glenn Smonelli: Yes. This is sort of an easy piece that could be played at home by a happy couple: e.g. the man plays the guitar and the woman sings the melody!. And he might laugh straightforwardly because his partner could loses her voice at some points :D. Thank you for listening and comments !
  15. I enjoyed it, though not to a great extent :). May I know which software you used to make the video ?
