Nik! What's up with your avatar? Those headphones are impressive.... -Andy
  2. Hi, I'm glad you liked the tune. I used EWQL GoldXP and NI's Akoustik Piano for the sounds and Sonar 5 for the playback. Composition books...I'm not sure. If you live in a college town, I'd suggest contacting the University and ask for the music department to see if you can arrange some private lessons. Beyond that, you should try to listen to music with the score in hand. I also like the Samuel Adler orchestration text...it's good stuff. -Andy
  3. maybe.......:o ;) :P :D :
  4. Hi, Thanks for the comments. As to the title, 'the middle distance'...The three movements are loosely related to childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood respectively... plus it sounds cool:) -Andy
  5. Hey Folks, This piece, "the middle distance" is the second of three movements for orchestra. SoundClick MP3: Andrew Sigler - Composer Producer, and Arranger of music for Film, Stage, Commercials, Pop, and Rock. I posted a piece called "Glock and Horns" a few months ago, which is the first of the three movements. The name was a placeholder and has been changed to 'the child runs, falls, and rises' http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/glock-horns-5131.html I'm interested in what you think of the pieces as seperate movements and as parts of a whole. -Andy MP3: Andrew Sigler - Composer Producer, and Arranger of music for Film, Stage, Commercials, Pop, and Rock.[/url] -Andy
  6. Thanks Frantz, I have a few other projects going at the moment, but I'll put the other two movements up shortly. -Andy:)
  7. Thanks guys...;) ;) :)
  8. Hi Marius and Nightfly, Thanks for listening and for the kind words. Marius, when you get EWQL, you will love it...it's a real kick in the pants. -Andy
  9. Hi Nikolas! Thanks so much...I hope the others share your enthusiasm!:w00t: -Andy
  10. Nikolas, I agree that this piece deserves to be in the 'orchestral' area as opposed to the video game area. Great stuff! -Andy
  11. I also liked the free feeling in the beginning, but I lost interest in the repetitive synth line after a while. When will we hear it with vocals? -Andy
  12. I think it would be cool live too... I'll post the other movements over the next few weeks. -Andy
  13. I was just kidding....glad you liked it! -Andy
