  1. Can Anyone Identify This Instrument?

    This isn't really a composition question, but more of an arranging question, so I'm not too sure where to post this, so I'll post it here for now. (Attached) Does anyone know what this instrument is? The tone in the background is very short length D5 and then a C#5, if that helps. To me, it sounds wooden, and also somewhat like a bell. IMO, a wood block's sound doesn't seem to fit because a wood block's sound disappears too quickly, rather than slowly fade out like this one. That extract is from this video at around 0:47 Mystery Instument.wav
