  1. Thank you Mossy for the illuminating and constructive comment. However, Sennheiser HD 650 headphone may be a better choice than your laptop tiny speakers to judge a mix and the sounding of a recording. Indeed, at 29 seconds the english horn, clarinet and trumpet, which are real musicians playing real instruments in Studio One AIR Studios, are doubling the piano for few bars before being replaced by an Armenian Duduk and a reed ensemble, again real musicians playing real instruments but recorded separately in a recording booth. The choice is mine and a agree with myself but there are indeed no obligation for you to like it from laptop speakers that are far from being HIFI. However, the lesson learned here is that I should never record at noon in order to ensure it doesn’t « sound midi-like ». Also, I will ensure during the next recording that musicians uses instruments equiped with an ADSR such that they can adjust the attack time correctly and mostly never record at noon or even midnight. I guess recording at 9 in the morning would sound better. Also, I should stop writing my scores in C-Flat Minor as it cost me a fortune in rehearsal and the musicians are always swearing while reading my music. Try yourself writing in C-Flat Minor and I am sure you will start swearing in 13 languages ;o) Cheers, P.S. midi is noon in French while MIDI is Musical Instrument Digital Interface which obviously you are also using with Jotter.. 2. Thank you Barko, This is the last scene of the movie by the way. The wacky adventures of Inspector Looso - Traffic Agent Looso soundcloud.com/user-461764443/sets/the-wacky-adventures-of Inspector Looso just had a so called lateral promotion. This is the politically correct way used by the Human Resources to bump someone out of his chair. In fact he was demoted down the food chain since he goofed so many times and missed finding the criminals he was supposedly chasing. Luc Looso is now Traffic Agent in Paris at the corner of Rue des Deux Boules and Rue Bertin Poirée where he should be of no harm for anybody but guess what. He gently caressed-up again. The End “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. The corner of Rue des Deux Boules and Rue Bertin Poirée do exist and you can see it on Google Street. Perfect spot for Looso. Music by: Syrel Musical Notes: You may recognize the inspiration from An American in Paris by George Gershwin, the Candide overture by Leonard Bernstein, a bit of The Pink Panther soundtrack by Henry Mancini as well as many other great composers when they writes funny music such as Tchaikovsky in the Nuts Crackers and Sergey Prokofiev in Peter and the Wolf.
  3. Dear young composers, This is an enhanced score version of the famous and brutally silent masterpiece “4 Minutes and 33 Seconds” by the (should have stayed graphic artist but unfortunately became) music composer John Cage. Should you know the original score you can see that the score has been minimized to only two bars at 1.758 BPM in order to reduce the environment footprint of the score should you want to print it. Moreover, the performance is thus silent since no-one hear the pages turning anymore. Since the audience usually takes an important part in this music, it has its own part in this version. Initially I thought it would have been Wonderfull to set the key to F-Flat Minor all the way but since most audiences are reluctant to read such a difficult key setting I decide instead to have it in C-Flat for the first bar and then create a sparkling modulation at the second bar and go F-Sharp. When you will listen to it if you still can listen to music you will see the difference. To all of you score writing lovers I wish you a Wonderfull reading and listening. In DAW We Trust
  4. Emily in Cordoba - Short Movie main theme. Now on Fetchflix Emily’s exciting career at « Candeur Advertising » brought her in Cordoba. As usual she takes selfies everywhere anytime all over the place. After the visit of Córdoba’s Mosque-Cathedral she looked at the selfies she’s been taken and found that one of the selfy she probably mistakenly took was her face but made of wood. The choir stalls where her face was pictured is located across from the altar, which was crafted during the 18th century and were executed by Pedro Duque Cornejo. Could it be that Emily’s ancestors were Spanish? “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. And for those who did not get it, Fetchflix TV is also fictitious.” Music: Syrel Photography: Syrel, Córdoba Mosque-Cathedral, 2024 Musical notes: I am not sure if the inspiration comes from the great Al di Meola or Sergio Mendes & Brazil 66. Nevertheless, enjoy the short ride.
» Musique : Syrel Photographie : Meta AI New Fetchflix movie coming soon Film synopsis: Justin Radin, an accountant by training and responsible for business plans for the company Bidouille & fils, was a specialist in manufacturing and assembly costs. Everything was calculated to the nearest cent and purchases were perfectly optimized in addition to being minimized. But there you have it, his new bosses, millennials born with an iPhone 18 Pro Super Max in their hands and addicted to social networks like Swiffer, Analphabet and FakeBook showed him the direction of “WELL-DESERVED” retirement, they said. Let’s rather call it a fine example of ageism. Justin Radin saved his entire life for his old age, but was not ready to enjoy his retirement, in addition to no longer knowing how to spend and treat himself. Fortunately, he meets the very charming and spendthrift Constance, who will clearly change his life. “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. And for those who did not get it, Fetchflix TV is also fictitious.” Music: Syrel Photography: Meta AI
  6. The Wrongware Factory - Short Movie main theme. Now on Fetchflix In order to make new friends, the new president of a small and idiocratic country decided to create a new agency called the Government Office of Optimized Failure, the GOOF, which is staffed by a bunch of 12 years old kids having the title of Government Office Overpaid Fools, the GOOFys and headed by an asparagus grower, who thinks he’s a genius. The GOOF is some kind of factory helping the government to creates chaos and uncertainties within the government until it implodes for the benefits of the plutocrats. Guess who will survive? “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. And for those who did not get it, Fetchflix TV is also fictitious.” Music: Syrel Photography: Meta AI Musical notes: The wonderful main theme composed by Theodore Shapiro for Severence was somewhat my source of inspiration. I wanted my theme dystopic, simple and complex at the same time.
  7. Who Cooked the Cat ? - Short Movie main theme. Now on Fetchflix Bill, Bob, Barry, and Beth are roommates, and once a week, on Saturday, they cook themselves a feast with a special meat. This week, they planned to prepare a rabbit meal. However, the disappearance of Furrball McFluff, their cat, went unnoticed—until a serious unease arose within the cooking team. So... who cooked the cat? “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. And for those who did not get it, Fetchflix TV is also fictitious.” Music: Syrel Photography: Syrel, Book Cover 1987 Musical notes: Yes I kind of borrowed a part of the main theme of Voyage to the bottom of the sea by Paul Sawtell but I also twisted it sooooo much.
  8. The Pepperman - Short Movie main theme. Now on Fetchflix Fred likes it spicy. He has been married so many times to hot women that he can only be looking for more. For his last bride, he decided to go all-in and get pepper wedding rings, which earned him the nickname "The Pepperman". Let’s hope his marriage doesn’t end up in flames. “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. And for those who did not get it, Fetchflix TV is also fictitious.” Music: Syrel
Photography: Syrel, Venice 2019 Musical notes: Got the idea from a Dianna Krall song opening but can’t remember which one. She is proudly Canadian by the way.
  9. The One-Night Stand Tango Man - Short Movie main theme. Now on Fetchflix Bob is single but also a sex addict. He learned that women are generally overrepresented in dance classes and therefore it would be an opportunity to meet women. He started with ballet because there are 10 women for every man in these classes, but dancing on pointe didn't suit his slightly overweight body very well. Frankly, it was a disaster. Then he started dancing tango where there are 3 women for every man and then his one-night stand rate started to climb. His hide a bed sofa was always busy with all kind of partners until he met Mistress Noir. A superbly bold tango dancer but also a BDSM fan. Well, there are some risk running for one-night stand constantly. “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. And for those who did not get it, Fetchflix TV is also fictitious.” Music: Syrel Photography: Syrel, Magazine article about bedding (1989) Musical notes: Catch me if you can by John Williams may be a bit obvious at the begining but after I believe I get more genuine to my style. What do you think?
  10. Who stole Teddy’s cookie jar” short movie main theme. Now on Fetchflix Teddy loves cookies and jealously guards his recipe for himself. He gets help from a team of tinie bunnies because his fur makes him rather clumsy. However, yesterday’s batch was stolen. Will Teddy and the tinie rabbits team be able to retreive the cookie jar? “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. Ho and for those who did not get it, Fetchflix TV is also fictitious.” Music: Syrel Photography: Syrel, Book Cover (1987) Musical notes: This theme could have been the main theme of the series “Only Murders in the Building.“ but hey, Siddhartha Khosla did such a wonderful work composing her theme that it would be a sacrilege pretending I could do better. Thanks to Tchaikovsky and Saint-Saëns for their help on mine ;o)
  11. I wish you a very happy new year and mostly I wish you musical inspiration for 2025. Play your music and listen to it before writing it on paper or whatever electronic gizmo software. It may end up better. Cheers,

  13. soundcloud.com/user-461764443/sets/the-wacky-adventures-of After escaping from Baroness Desire Organa sadomasochist lair while she was delivering a weird speech, Inspector Looso spent a week trying to understand what seemed to be at first glance a load of pornophonic gibberish words. Thinking that his brain had the power of the Enigma encrypting machine his understanding was that Baroness Desiré Organa provided him the route to the Phantom’s Holy Grail. Since his Citroën 2CV engine was dead, he decided to take his father’s Helicron car build in 1932. However, The Phantom hired the famous private investigator Mr. Peebody to ensure that Looso would not be after him anymore. According to the decryption of the Baroness speech the route should start at Anus in the commune of Fouronnes. Then he had to go to Sainte-Reine in France at the intersection of La Chatte and Le Fion. Then to Montcuq in the commune of Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc. Then to Monteton in the department of Lot-et-Garonne to finally arrive at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Porc close to the Spanish border. However, Mr. Peebody’s goal was to throw Looso out of the road in the twisty roads between Monteton and Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Porc. Looso resists Mr. Peebody’s assaults and went full throttle thinking that his father’s Helicron was a flying car. He indeed went air born for a while after leaving the road in a curve but ended his flight in a pond as ungracefully as Orville Wright crashing the Flyer in 1908. Will Looso survive to this wacky adventure? “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. However, The route in France described above is true and can be done using Google Map.” Music: Syrel Photography: Syrel, 1932 Helicron shot at the Museo Automovilístico de Málaga 2024 Musical Notes: I mostly borrowed the orchestral texture and rhythmic from Prokofiev again but probably others. Let me know who.
  14. The wacky adventures of Inspector Looso - New Fetchflix TV Show soundcloud.com/user-461764443/sets/the-wacky-adventures-of During the fashion show at Mrs. Diamond's Palace, the sex mate of Mrs. Diamond - the well-known nymphomaniac Baroness Desiré Organa - was in the audience and was wearing a very sexy and spiky dress designed by the famous designer Eva Soto. But when she saw Inspector Looso in his ridiculous latex outfit she was sexually turned ON and all her spikes went hard. All she had in mind was to bring Looso in the sadomasochist lair in the basement of the palace and have fun with him. A chase in the palace went ON for a while until Looso had the idea to submit to the Baroness and see if he could profit of the situation. Surprisingly, Looso played his role to the perfection and spent the night with the Baroness in order to eventually get her confidences. The sexual encounter with the Baroness was a total success since during each one of her orgasm she spontaneously disclosed information about the Phantom and Mr. Moneybags - two white collars criminal that Looso was chasing for months. Taking profit of one of the Baroness many climaxes Looso escaped the sadomasochist lair to drive away with his Citroen 2CV. Looso thought that finally the outcome of his dress code goof was not that bad since Looso would be able to bring some results to his boss. However, it is only the day after when he reported to his boss the new information that he found that he was fooled by the Baroness. Will that be the end of Looso inspector career? “This story is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental.” Music: Syrel Photography: Syrel, Eva Soto Dress shot at Museo Automovilístico de Málaga 2024 Musical Notes: This time I borrowed the orchestral texture and rhythmic from Sergey Prokofiev and Camille Saint-Saens and many others but I just can’t remember who as it comes from my long term memory. Something sure you will recognize a B minor version of Serge Ginsbourg song, « Je Taime - Moi Non Plus » during the sensual moment between Looso and Baroness Desiré Organa.
  15. Thank you so much Bjarke for the kind words. I agree with you and I understand why you were unsettled. This soundtrack was made like a movie trailer soundtrack where a lot needs to be said in a short time to capture the spectator while using a John Williams style. It follows a screenplay where the first 36 seconds shows the bad guy (The Phantom), personified by the clarinet, reaching to his fabulous vintage car in his garage and then drive at high speed to the remotely opened gate of his estate. At 0:36 Inspector Looso that was hiding in the forest close to the gate starts chasing The Phantom with his Citroen 2CV in the twisty roads of Lake Como as if he was Indiana Jones chasing for the lost diamond of whatever. At 1:09 Looso lose control of his scrafty car, fall in the ditch and the wheels are free wheeling while the car is upside down. At 1:22 The Phantom is not chased anymore and run free to his meeting with Mr. Moneybags leaving Inspector Looso in the ditch at 1:31. In this concept the clarinet represents the Phantom, The piano theme represents Inspector Looso and the theme borrowed from Luke Skywalker in Star War represents Looso’s youth dreams of being a space soldier (as described in “Inspector Looso's First Investigation”). The last two themes in this music are a developments of themes used in my orchestral series called “The Wacky Adventures of Inspector Looso”, which you can appreciate on SoundCloud. I want to thank you for your constructive and valid comments. I will try to apply your recommendations. In DAW I trust Syrel
