  1. One word. Just one word- Beautiful. I was impressed from start to finish. Was that MIDI or a live performance??? I really liked the flute/piccolo section, it made me think about Irish/Scottish music. . . Also, I agree with all the comments about video games; that was one of the first things that came to mind when I listened. The timpani/drums were excellent although I agree with Wolf 88, about making it more rich, but not too much. It sound professional quality, atleast to me, anyway. Keep up the good work, I look forward to your next. . .
  2. Oh, THANK YOU!!! I've been waiting so long for someone to say something! I really appreaciate your comments. I was a actually suprised you gave me the time of day. Everytime I ask someone to listen to it, they dont want to be bother because I don't have any real training in theory. But you gave me a fair judgement, I thank you. I also want to say that I did find out my timpani parts were a bit out of order(actually, a lot out of order). But I didn't even know about the bells. I think it would be best to get that orchestration book, like my teacher told me(chuckle). I think you mentioned a few terms at the bottom; counterpoint, virtuoso, and a few others, I'm going to research those because I really would like to make this a playable piece. I've been waiting for someone to review me for so long. Of course when you ask your family, they always say it's good(they have to!). Thanks, I will try to get on more.
  3. Um, hello, this is Escaflonase. You can call me Esca if you like. This is my first time posting here. This song is entitled "Leviathan", after the mythical beast. I use so Finale as a midi synthesizer; I used it to get certain sound. So, if you view the midi file in finale, it will not be an arranged piece of music but a jumble, rather. It will also look worse because of the file being taken back into Finale. Well, this is probably the best piece I have ever done, in terms of sound. I was just trying to see what I should, maybe rearrange or what I could change for the better. Please don't refrain from being critical, I'm trying to get better. The piece originally started as my own score to War of the Worlds(2005) but very soon in I decided that I wanted the piece to be my own. . . My influences are Stravinsky mostly, though noone will probably notice but me. . .(chuckle). Enjoy. Leviathan.MID
