I am unfamiliar with electronic compositions and have never tried one, so I decided to try listening to some songs in this area. It is very interesting, and I enjoyed it. It would be great for a nightclub and has some great rhythyms. Because of my little knowledge of this category, I'm afraid I can't offer much in the way of advice. However, I thought it was very cool.

huh, could've sworn I added it, hmm, I'll try again. Maybe I just forgot. Oh dear, silly me. Now I feel stupid, okay, here it is. Mother's Love.MUS

Neoclassical Fantasy and Fugue for String Quartet
this was an excellent piece that i thoroughly enjoyed listening to. However, one thing that I did notice was that sometimes the violin would seem to jump in almost a bit too early it seemed, or maybe the cello would, and this gave the piece a frantic feeling to it. Maybe add a place where the listener can take a bit of a breather. Other than that, a very well done piece.

Mother's Love
This is a simple cello solo that has a melody that seemed to just burst from my mind onto the page. I'm sorry, but since the program I use does not allow me to upload an mp3, the only way to listen to the piece is if you have finale notepad. Terribly sorry, but if you can't listen, feedback based on the score would be appreciated as well.

Apprehension for the Storm
I contacted the finale music tech support, and they have told me that unless i buy a $400 program, no i cannot upload mp3s of the playback. so once i have time, i shall try to upload a recording, if possible. does anyone have any suggestions on how the heck i can get an mp3 of the score?

Just Like RainDrops
what i mean by tension is that some parts should hold a bit of suspense to keep the audience interested. then that suspense should be released, relaxing the listener. think of an action movie, the scenes where the hero is about to die some grotesque death keep the viewers on the edge of their seats, but then he saves the day and the audience feels relieved, yet satisfied. Music should be the same way, although, depending on the song, maybe less melodramatic, get my point? Did I clarify for you?

Apprehension for the Storm
hmmm, i'll try, although I'm not sure if i'll be able to, maybe i can get a cello buddy and i to record if i can't get the computerized version to transfer into an mp3 or something

Mirage for solo 'cello
This piece allows the cellist some definite freedom. The flow and ebb of the piece worked well, but it did not seem to go anywhere in particular and a central melody line was hard to pick out, but was that the intent? 'Mirage' sounded almost like a daydream, hence the title, but even daydreams normally have a purpose of some kind. Also, some parts sounded as though the pace could be easily picked up to add a bit more excitement. Since I am a cellist, I enjoyed the musicality of the piece with its lush melodies and well-placed notes. Good job, but a central theme would be nice.

Just Like RainDrops
You did a good job on this piece. The harmonies flow very nicely and since I am a bit of a harmony nut, kudos for you! The lyrics were well written and I liked how they were sung at differing moments. However, like myself all too often, you have gotten yourself in a bit of a dreamy, slow rut. The whole song flows wonderfully, but there is nothing standing out from the piece. Music is tension and release, so while there is release in 'Raindrops', there is very little tension. Overall, though, this is an excellant piece of work. Great work!

Apprehension for the Storm
This is my first cello duet, but I have written other cello solos. The main melody of this piece popped into my head one day, so I expanded upon the idea of using the lower strings of the cello in a duet (since normally the cello's higher range is used). This piece is not especially difficult notewise, but the rhythyms are a bit more unusual. My style is very unorthodox, I know, but my mind loves to stray from the norm. 'Apprehension' has a very somber mood to it, with small hints of light. I added these with the purpose of showing how even the darkest of times can possess some qualities of light, as can nearly everthing in our universe. cello duet.MUS
