It has a lot to do with the fact that I've only been composing for a few months. Maturity will take some time to arrive I'm sure.
Appreciate the comments. It helps keep the motivation up!
This piece is a nocturne scored for piano, cello (solo), violin and viola. I have never written for anything but piano before so there are sure to be some structural issues here. I'd appreciate all criticism.

Thanks, and please enjoy,

I'm not quite sure how to describe this - an open piece in A minor. Strong melodic component that I quite like. I'd be interested in feedback - my Cadenza does not meet my standards at this point.

This is a new piece I wrote to explore the keyboard some more. It suffers from key fatigue a little - I have been stuck in G minor for several weeks and am finally breaking free with a Cello nocturne in a major key (my god! a major key!)
I would say it could use more modulation (clearly), but the goal was to explore the darkness of winter and I think it does that well.
All comments/criticism welcome as always.

Scored for piccalo trumpet, two trumpets, french horn and tuba. It was christmas!
Does anyone have a piccalo trumpet? Perhaps 3b cornet would be a better choice?
Brass Chorale and Variations on once in Royal David's city
The GPO patches do sound a little "whiney" but that's computers for you.
This is the third piece of music I ever wrote. I'd be interested in people's view's on it!
it was done in sibelius with the garritan personal orchestra and is an MP3 stream. The score should show up as well! Let me know if it misbehaves.
