My Beethoven1986 thread.
I am leaving this site, as it has become watered down, and no longer provides useful feedback to any one outside a certain "clique." I have realized that no one has commented on any of my threads for over a month, so I have come to the conclusion that I am of no value to this site. Good bye and best of luck.

My first piano composition
I thought the robot piece was well put together. It reminded me of Scott Joplin, especially if you would have syncopated the right hand part. Overall, great start cant wait to hear more, especially after that cool cliffhanger of a scale! :)

My Beethoven1986 thread.
Here are two piano songs i wrote this week. The one in E Major I will probably add to the bass line at a later point in time. As for the other songs please tell me if the correct instruments are playing on your computer, because on mine, some of the songs don't play properly. Two piano MP3's

My Beethoven1986 thread.
Having all my stuff on one thread will be much easier, so all of my compositions will be on this thread. The newest peice (atonal.mid) is not truly atonal, but is written using tonal techniques and cadences, but avoiding any coherence to a particular key. It is written using three basic chords, but as it is played, other chords naturally are formed. I like it a lot, however the piano playing on it is abysmal, since I am not the best player in the world, and also because it is a live recording that has been MIDI-ized. Please overlook its techical shortcomings and tell me what you think of it and all the other peices posted in theis thread. Thank all of you very much. P.S. The peice called duet 1.mid is still in progress. The tune you hear is a sketch for the beginning of a larger peice. P.P.S. I seem to be having trouble with A Major.mid and Duet1.mid playing in piano instead of the instruments I have selected. I don't know if it is just my computer, so please tell me about these two peices. A Major should be played by strings and Duet 1 should be viola and cello. Thanks Duet_2.mid Dance.MID ATONALL.MID AMAJOR1.MID DUET1.MID

A rondo-ish piano tune in A Major
Ok Ok last update. I made some minor revisions and also decided i liked it better with the strings playing. Wow I havent slept since I had this idea last night. I have been drained by this frenzy of write-a-song-in-24-hours madness. Gonna hit the sack. Good night. A_Major.MID

A rondo-ish piano tune in A Major
Ok I thought you were right so I turned off the reverb. Here is the updated version. It still is a little of beat in places because of my notation program. If somone didn't mind, and they had the time, it would be cool if someone could download it and clean it up on sibelius or finale. A_Major.MID

Modern Piano Piece - Opinions?
Wow. This is excellent. When I was reading through this thread I saw many parallels between you and I. I too struggle enormously with reading. It is so frustrating because I have all the stuff about notation down, I can write my own songs and I can understand a written peice of music, however I cannot sight read very well at all. It is a huge roadblock in my way to a musical career. I am starting college in two weeks for a degree in composition and also high school music education and I am afraid my poor sight reading skills will hold me back. I understand what you mean when you said your ear for music holds you back. I think mine does too. I can relate to a lot of what you said. I think your music is awesome!!!!!!!

A rondo-ish piano tune in A Major
This is a rough draft of a piano rondo in A major. I know it won't sound perfect because my notation program sucks, and I apologize. Please listen and tell me what you think. Thanks! A_Major.MID

Matt's Mass Thread: Would love some input
While this music is great, both theoretically and melodically, it seems to me that it was written in an unfriendly style for the singer, as it seems that a lot of the vocal melody would be extremely hard to sing. Dont get me wrong the vocal melody is good, great even, but it seemed that its enjoyability was overshadowed by the way the voice struggled to do the melody its justice.

Oboe Concerto
Well I think it is great. I liked all the orchestrations and melodies too. A quick question: Did you intend to use the opening passage of stairway to heaven as a melody in there because it is there?

Another redundant song, feedback please.
Here is an idea I had, can people listen to it and point out faults and pitfalls, but also maybe point out strengths as well so I can in the end streamline my composing in a positive direction Hungarian_Dance.MID
