Hi and thanks for your welcome! I do not have Yahoo or Messenger currently installed, but please contact me via e-mail and I'll do my best to answer your questions! Hi CarstN and thank you for the compliments! I really appreciate that! You're absolutely right about the "Zimmerish" sound... I suppose you're referring to the cue that goes roughly from 0:40 to 1:10. Well, that music was written with the the Media Ventures/Remote Control "action-movie" sound in mind. I was actually trying to re-create that exact orchestration and style. It's typical not only of Zimmer (think about Gladiator, Last Samurai, King Arthur), but also of his "followers": Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean), Powell (Bourne Identity), Gregson Williams (Armageddon, Man on Fire). I know it's not original, but it was a very useful "technical" excercise... and it won a "Pirate Music" contest too! ;-)There are several Sample Libraries used in the Demo Reel, but most of the sounds come from Vienna Symphonic Library and East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra.
About the keyboard, I do have one, but the truth is I do not use it as often as I should. Sometimes I do not play anything and compose with "mouse only". But that's not good, because it takes longer and most of the times it sounds worse. It's just a bad habit... (and I'm not a very good keyboard player).
Thanks again for your reply! :)
