  2. Hello, my name is Ryan Faris and I'm currently composing my first ever piece for my Comp 1 class in college. Though I've been writing folk tunes and rock songs for years, I'm just now learning to compose outside those genres and I'm pretty excited about it. However, I feel I'm not very good and I constantly feel stuck. So I guess I'd just like to know small things I could do to improve upon my piece like articulations to make it flow less awkwardly, as well as techniques I could use to gain more material. I updated the score to what I have now currently. I repeated the main theme starting at measure 29 but I'd prefer to write more material before that. Thanks, Ryan Faris Firstsong.pdf Première Chanson (parfois je suis drôle).mp3
