HI good luck for you and if you get trouble and you cant record anything you should go to Devices...->Device Setup. Under VST Multitrack, select your input device (the Alesis). Then make sure to go to Devices...->VST Inputs and enable whichever inputs you're going to use. Then on the mixer, pick a track and assign it to pull from one of the inputs you just enabled.
